Grand Funk Railroad guitarist Bruce Kulick [ tickets ], who also served a lengthy stint in KISS, is recovering from two gunshot wounds he suffered after a Wednesday (10/16) show in West Hollywood, CA, according to his publicist.

According to a press release, Kulick had been to a Vince Neil event at the Rainbow, and left with a friend at about 1:30 a.m.

"As he walked down the strip, he heard gunshots," his publicist said. "He looked down to see a hole through his leather pants, right above the knee. Next thing he noticed blood was coming down his leg. He heard a second bullet whiz past his ear and realized he'd been grazed in his head by it."

The shooting appeared to be random, and the crowd wrestled a suspect to the ground.

"I'm very grateful for the immediate response of both the crowd and the doctors, and--obviously--the EMS crews," Kulick said in a statement. "I'm fine and very thankful to be alive, and I'm back on the road with Grand Funk."

Wyclef Jean [ tickets ] reportedly checked himself into a Miami hospital on Wednesday (10/15) because of exhaustion and dehydration caused by food poisoning.

Jean's label publicist told the Associated Press that the artist started to feel ill following his Tuesday appearance at the Source Awards, and that Jean is expected to remain hospitalized through the end of the week.

Primus [ tickets ] announced the launch of it's Primus Live website, which will sell downloadable soundboard recordings of every performance on the band's upcoming tour.

Recordings of the band's October shows will be available on Nov. 7, and recordings of the band's November shows will be available 48 hours after each show, according to a press release.

Matchbox Twenty [ tickets ] issues "EP"--which features five rare tracks and plus the previously unreleased song "Suffer Me"--on Nov. 11. The set also includes video of five live songs recorded in April, as well is interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
