Jewel remains unplugged during new round of shows

Jewel , who during September played a handful of acoustic gigs on the East Coast, turns her attention to the West next month.

The singer-songwriter returns to the road on Nov. 21 for a series of shows throughout California and Nevada. On Wednesday (10/8), I assume), Jewel's official fan club--dubbed Jewel:Unedited--launches a ticket pre-sale for nine of the 11 currently confirmed concerts, according to Jewel's website.

Jewel's acoustic tour sprang up after she scrapped a planned outing with her full band due to the Sept. 4 death of her bassist, Terome "T-Bone" Hannon, who had been a member of her live band for three years.

"T-Bone was a phenomenal player and we all loved him," Jewel said in a statement issued at the time. "We are all just in shock and hurt."

The tour backs her latest album, "0304," which she released in June. The set peaked at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 album chart, and currently sits at No. 127.

"Intuition," the album's first single, is currently the No. 16 entry on Billboard's Adult Top 40 chart. The track has been riding that chart for 24 weeks.
