Briefly: Kid Rock, Tantric, Tracy Lawrence, Offspring, Singapore Sling
Kid Rock issues a new self-produced and self-titled album on Nov. 11, according to Atlantic Records.
The set's first single, a cover of the Bad Company song "Feel Like Makin' Love," is scheduled to ship to radio next week.
Tantric 's sophomore album, "After We Go," is scheduled for release in early 2004, according to Maverick Records. The band launches a Jim Beam-sponsored tour next week.
Country singer-songwriter Tracy Lawrence drops "Strong," his first album for DreamWorks Records Nashville, on March 16. The lead single, "Paint Me a Birmingham," hits radio on Oct. 13, according to the label.
Offspring , who will release a new album titled "Splinter" on Dec. 2, announced that Atom Willard, formerly of Rocket from the Crypt, will play drums on the band's upcoming tour. The tour's itinerary hasn't been finalized.
Longtime Offspring drummer Ron Welty departed the group earlier this year to devote himself to a new project dubbed Steady Ground.
Reykjavik, Iceland's Singapore Sling--which is supporting its debut album, "The Curse of Singapore Sling"--opens its second U.S. tour later this month. The itinerary is available at the band's Stinky Records website.
