Lonestar sets sights on fall road trip behind 'Greatest Hits'

Country quartet Lonestar , which has been on tour for much of the year to support a new best-of set, heads back out this fall for a new batch of headlining dates.

The group's latest round of shows kicks off in late October, and confirmed dates so far stretch into mid-November. The band also performs on Thursday (10/2) at the All Star Music Bash in Nashville, proceeds from which will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The All Star Music Bash will also feature Kenny Loggins and host Richard Marx. More information is available at the event's official website.

Lonestar's latest album, "From There to Here: Greatest Hits," surfaced in June. The album and its leadoff track, "My Front Porch Looking In," rose to the No. 1 slots on Billboard's country album and singles charts.

"My Front Porch Looking In" is one of four new cuts included on the 17-track hits collection, as is the album's latest single, a cover of Marc Cohn's "Walking in Memphis." Samples of several previously released tunes included on the album are posted at Lonestar's website.
