Toby Keith has added more dates to his fall road trip, which now runs up to the early November release of the country singer's new album.
Due in stores on Nov. 4, Keith's new album--which he named after his ongoing 2003 "Shock'N Y'all" tour--includes his latest single, "I Love This Bar." He'll help launch the set with a Nov. 11 appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," according to his website.
The "Shock'N Y'all" tour and album draw their names from the U.S. Defense Department's Iraqi-war catch phrase "shock and awe." Though Keith dubbed his current outing the "Shock'N Y'all" tour in June, he has been on the road virtually nonstop since the July 2002 release of his most-recent album, "Unleashed," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart, and has sold more than two million copies.
Last week, "Unleashed" picked up an American Music Award nomination in the Favorite Album - Country Music category, while Keith himself scored a Favorite Male Artist - Country Music nod. The awards ceremony airs on ABC on Nov. 16.
Keith was the No. 1 ticket-seller in country music for 2002, and No. 7 overall for the year, according to Pollstar. Last month, the Academy of Country Music crowned him Entertainer of the Year.
