
Sting will play an Oct. 4 charity show at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on Oct. 5, where he's expected to preview material from his new album "Sacred Love," due on Sept. 30.
An allotment of tickets that was set aside for Sting Fan Club members has sold out, according to his website, but the remaining tickets will be sold via an online Ticketmaster auction, with net profits going to charity. (Ticketmaster is liveDaily's parent company.)
Winning bidders will also receive a free Sting Fan Club membership; more information is available at Sting's website.
Nelly Furtado 's sophomore album, "Folklore," features guests Caetano Veloso, Bela Fleck, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Mike Einziger and Kronos Quartet. The LP is set for release on Nov. 25.
Avril Lavigne 's first live concert DVD, titled "My World," will be in stores on Nov. 4, according to Arista Records. It features behind-the-scenes footage, five music videos, and a bonus six-song audio CD.
David Crosby and Graham Nash will headline an Oct. 24 benefit concert for Grace Center, a non-profit Pasadena, CA, organization that serves women and children afflicted by domestic violence.
The acoustic show--hosted by actors Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle) and Bradley Whitford (The West Wing)--will also feature singer-songwriters Paula Cole, Julia Fordham and Judith Owen.
