Matchbox Twenty unveils more North American tour dates
Matchbox Twenty , which wraps up a European tour on Friday (9/12), returns to the North American tour circuit later this month.
The group launches the latest leg of its tour behind last year's "More Than You Think You Are" on Sept. 24, and has confirmed dates through early November. More shows will be added, as the group plans to stretch the outing into December, according to organizers.
Released in November of 2002, "More Than You Think You Are" features the hit single "Unwell," which spent more than four months in the No. 1 slot on Billboard's Adult Top 40 chart, where it currently sits at No. 2.
The album's follow-up single, "Bright Lights," is at No. 14 on the same chart.
"More Than You Think You Are" debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Currently in its 41st week on the chart, the platinum-certified set clocks in at No. 52.
Matchbox Twenty has had more No. 1 hits and has spent more weeks at No. 1 on the Modern AC and Adult Top 40 charts than any other artist in history, according to a press release.
