Briefly: Rolling Stones, Deftones, Gloria Estefan, DVD-audio releases

The Rolling Stones were forced to postpone their Tuesday night (8/5) show in Spain when Mick Jagger developed laryngitis. Local press reports indicate that the band may make up the date in September at the tail end of the its European tour.

An album of featuring remixes of the Stones classic "Sympathy for the Devil" is set for release on SetpSept. 16th. The SACD-format disc will include a 5.1 mix of the song, according to the band's website.

The Deftones have canceled headlining shows in Salt Lake City on Aug. 5th and Boise, ID on Aug. 6th to allow frontman Chino Moreno to recover from a severe groin injury prior to re-joining Metallica's Summer Sanitarium Tour Aug. 7th in Seattle. The band is lining up a fall U.S. tour that will run from October through December.

Gloria Estefan 's first English-language album in six years, "Wrapped," will arrive in stores Sept. 23rd. Estefan will follow the release with a seven-day stand at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in October, taking over for Celine Dion while Dion takes a vacation from her performing residence at the venue.

Universal Music's Music will release its first batch of DVD-audio re-issues will be released on Sept. 23rd. The re-mixed and re-mastered collection includes Ryan Adams' "Gold," Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," Dave Grusin's "Two For The Road," The Who's "Tommy," Diana Krall's "The Look of Love" and John Hiatt's "Bring The Family."
