
Pete Townshend will soon release the latest disc in his live "Signature" series--which was taken from a stop on his 1993 "Psychoderelict" tour.
The Cure will start cutting demos next week in London, and plans to begin recording a new album in September, according to the group's publicist. Ross Robinson (At the Drive-In, Korn) will produce, and the CD is expected to hit stores in early 2004.
The band Boston filed a $1 million-plus lawsuit against Artemis Records on Tuesday (6/24), alleging that the label failed to live up to a promise to mount a year-long promotional campaign for group's latest CD, "Corporate America," the Boston Globe reported.

Pioneering thrash-metal outfit Slayer has released its first DVD, "War at the Warfield." It features 19 songs from a Feb. 13, 2002 concert at San Francisco's Warfield Theatre during the tour for the band's most recent album, "God Hates Us All."
