Fleetwood Mac extends summer tour
More than 10 new cities have been added to Fleetwood Mac 's summer tour itinerary, a move that extends the group's outing well into August.
The classic-rock group has been on the road in North America since early May to support its first studio set of all-new material in more than a decade.
Titled "Say You Will," the album hit stores on in mid-April. The release marks Fleetwood Mac's first studio album featuring Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie since 1986's "Tango in the Night." Keyboardist-vocalist Christine McVie has retired from the group.
According to Reprise Records, the album was recorded in Los Angeles over 18 months, with Buckingham producing.
Fleetwood Mac's previous studio album of new material was 1990's "Behind the Mask," but it did not feature core member Buckingham. In 1997, the group released "The Dance," which combined re-workings of some of the band's old material with a few new tracks.
The tour's confirmed itinerary as of press time follows. According to Fleetwood Mac's official website, the tour will also visit the Grand Forks, ND, St. Louis, MO, and Memphis, TN, areas, but specific venues and dates weren't available at press time.
More additions to the itinerary are expected.
