GRAMMY®-winning bluegrass act Alison Krauss + Union Station will be on the road through the summer and early fall to support their 2002 live CD and its forthcoming companion DVD.
"Live," the group's first live album, was recorded over two shows in the summer of 2002 at the Palace Theater in Louisville, Ky., and hit stores in November. The two-disc companion DVD, scheduled to reach stores on July 15, features a full concert, an interview with each band member and other features.
The "Live" album is Krauss' fifth consecutive gold-certified release, which signifies 500,000 copies shipped.
The latest studio album from Alison Krauss + Union Station is 2001's "New Favorite," which features lead vocals from Krauss as well as bandmates Dan Tyminski and Ron Block. The album picked up the GRAMMY award that year for Best Bluegrass Album, and its track "The Lucky One" won in the Best Country Song and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal categories.
