Cold , the Distillers and "Jackass" daredevil Steve-O are among the entertainers who will appear on the second stage at this summer's Lollapalooza tour.
Cave In, Kings of Leon, Rooney, the Mooney Suzuki, Pharoahe Monch, Burning Brides, 30 Seconds to Mars, Bellydance Superstars and British dance-rock outfit the Music are also slated for the second stage.
In each market where the tour touches down, one local band will perform an opening set on the second stage.
As it did during its original '90s-era incarnations, the resuscitated Lollapalooza festival will also feature a midway, which will house "video game competitions, interactive wireless spectacles, exotic foods and adventurous art," according to a press release. Some midway games will include "surprises like being whisked backstage moments before Jane's Addiction hits the stage for a cat's eye view."
Also in keeping with its predecessors, this year's Lollapalooza tour will host booths where local and national nonprofit organizations will have a chance to spread their messages, with a particular focus placed on providing information about alternate energies.
"As town criers we're very interested in promoting alternative fuel," Lollapalooza founder and Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell said in a statement. "We're in danger of losing every environmental law written in this country, and the voice that reaches out furthest is a musical one."
Audioslave , Incubus , Queens of the Stone Age, Jurassic 5, the Donnas and, on select dates, A Perfect Circle will join headlining act Jane's Addiction on the tour's main stage.
