Bonnaroo NE to feature Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, the Dead

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds, Bob Dylan and the Dead are among the acts on the bill of the inaugural Bonnaroo NE camping-and-music festival, which takes place Aug. 8-10 at Riverhead, N.Y.'s Enterprise Park.

Tickets for Bonnaroo NE are scheduled to go on sale on May 7 at 9 a.m. Eastern Time. Details are available at the Bonnaroo NE website.

Also scheduled to appear are the String Cheese Incident , Ween , Gov't Mule, Medeski Martin & Wood, moe., Les Claypool's Frog Brigade, North Mississippi Allstars, Yo La Tengo, Rusted Root, Soulive, Yonder Mountain String Band, Talib Kweli, Disco Biscuits, Cut Chemist, Grandaddy, X-ecutioners, Kings of Leon, and Los Amigos Invisibles.

Bonnaroo NE is modeled on the Bonnaroo formula that promoters have twice made successful in Tennessee; the sophomore edition of Bonnaroo--set to take place June 13-15 on a 600-acre farm in Manchester, Tenn.--is already sold out, according to organizers.

"Rapid ticket sales have dictated a demand for a second festival of Bonnaroo quality," Richard Goodstone of promoter Superfly Productions said in a statement, "and we're excited to bring an event of this nature to the Northeast region."

The Dead , Widespread Panic, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Sonic Youth, Ben Harper, the Roots, and the Flaming Lips are among the acts on the bill of June's Tennessee Bonnaroo event.
