Punk-pop threesome Alkaline Trio has laid out a sizeable batch of tour dates in anticipation of its new album, "Good Mourning," which is due out in May.
The group's outing gets underway two days after the May 13 release of "Good Mourning," and non-stop touring is planned through late June. The trio will also warm up for the run with three late-April performances.
Group bassist Dan Andriano talked about finishing up the new album in a message that he posted on the band's website in late January.
"Today is January 31st, and it is the last day I will step into this studio for a long time," he said. "We have finished all the music, sounds, and singing...it's all done. It's kind of sad, I've spent a lot of time here recently, and we had a lot of fun making this record. I hope it shows when you listen to it."
"Good Mourning" is the follow-up to Alkaline Trio's 2001 release, "From here to Infirmary." The new set's track list is posted at Vagrant Records' website.
