Brooks & Dunn's Itinerary Comprises Diverse Venues

A busy 2000 touring schedule is taking shape for the country music duo of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, who will bring their show to casino showrooms, arenas, country music festivals, fairgrounds and just about every other type of venue in the coming months.

The duo's itinerary for early in the year has them on the road for several long weekends, with time off during the week. In August, Brooks & Dunn will hit the state fair circuit, where their stops are expected to include Iowa, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, among others.

Brooks & Dunn have emerged as one of country music's top-grossing live acts. In 1999, the duo's concerts took in $10 million at the box office, behind only Shania Twain and the George Strait's Country Music Festival, according to Amusement Business.

According to Arista Nashville, Brooks & Dunn are the top-selling country music duo in history, a feat they accomplished in less than a decade. Each of the duo's seven albums has gone at least gold (500,000 copies shipped, according to the Recording Industry Association of America).

Brooks and Dunn have moved away from collaborations over the years. For their most recent album "Tight Rope," released last September, the duo didn't write songs together and enlisted separate producers.
