Common links with Talib Kweli, others for club tour

Common --who emerged from the hip-hop underground in the '90s and has since crossed into the mainstream--has lined up a package tour with fellow alt-rappers Talib Kweli , Gang Starr and Floetry .

The monthlong tour opens in late February, and focuses on clubs in major markets.

"Electric Circus," Common's latest album, hit stores in December. It features guest vocalists Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, Cee-Lo and Erykah Badu, as well as production work by ?uestlove, Dilla (Jay Dee) and the Neptunes.

Kweli, who emerged from New York's underground hip-hop scene with 2000's brainy "Refection Eternal," released his sophomore album, "Quality," in November.

Floetry's issued its debut, "Floetic," last October. The rap-soul duo is nominated for GRAMMY® Awards in the Best Urban/Alternative Performance, Best R&B Song and Best Contemporary R&B Album categories.
