Courtney Love was arrested at London's Heathrow Airport on Tuesday (2/4) after she allegedly became disruptive on a flight from Los Angeles to London, according to British press reports.
Virgin Atlantic Airlines told the BBC that Love--former lead singer of alt-rock band Hole and the widow of Nirvana 's Kurt Cobain--became "verbally abusive" during the flight, and that the plane's captain called police to report the incident.
"We won't tolerate disruptive behavior and the matter is now in the hands of the police," an airline spokesperson told reporters.
Once in London, Love was arrested on suspicion of disruptive behavior and endangering an aircraft. The second charge can carry a prison sentence of up to two years.
