Dixie Chicks, Goo Goo Dolls, No Doubt and more set for Super Bowl
Super Bowl XXXVII doesn't get underway until Sunday (1/26) afternoon, but the musical entertainment kicks off well in advance.
The weekend's Super Bowl Concert Series at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium gets underway on Friday night (1/24) with a performance from GRAMMY®-winning rapper Eve . Pop-rock trio the Goo Goo Dolls follow on Saturday night (1/25).
The formidable game-day roster kicks off with a pre-game performance by Santana and Michelle Branch, who paired up for Santana's latest hit, "The Game of Love." The track is vying for a GRAMMY in the Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals category.
The pre-game program also will feature Celine Dion singing "God Bless America" and the Dixie Chicks delivering their rendition of the national anthem.
Music fans will then have to endure the first half of the game before No Doubt and Shania Twain hit the stage for the halftime show, and another two quarters before New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi close things out with a post-game performance.
Though Friday and Saturday nights' concerts will not be televised, the pre-game, halftime and post-game performances--as well as the game itself--will be broadcast live on ABC-TV on Sunday (1/26).
