Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie cancel final two tour stops

The Merry Mayhem tour, featuring Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie , will not be making its previously planned end-of-tour stops in Southern California. The shows, which were to take place in Los Angeles and San Diego on Dec. 28 and Dec. 29, respectively, join a lengthy list of canceled and postponed dates that the outing has accumulated since its Oct. 31 kick off.

The two California dates were canceled due to routing problems, according to Rob Zombie's official website. A spokesperson for the tour could not be reached at press time for additional information.

The Merry Mayhem tour makes its next stop on Tuesday night (12/4) in Illinois, and is now scheduled to end on Dec. 23 in New Jersey.

Osbourne is touring in support of his October release, "Down to Earth" (Epic), which recently was gold-certified by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Zombie released his latest album, "The Sinister Urge" (Geffen), last month.

Shortly after the tour began, Osbourne and Zombie canceled their New Year's Eve performance in Phoenix, citing "the public's need to be with their families this holiday season" in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Nine mid-November dates were then postponed after word surfaced that, following his opening-night performance, Osbourne had fallen and fractured his leg while exiting the shower. Those dates have not been rescheduled.
