update: Northeast fans of Aerosmith have been dealt an unlucky blow. The Boston-based rockers, whose frontman Steven Tyler recently fell ill, postponed their shows on Sunday (11/4) in Boston and Tuesday (11/6) in Providence, R.I., and have now postponed Thursday's concert (11/8) in Philadelphia.
The rock veterans plan to reschedule all three shows, but no make-up dates have yet been announced.
The latest postponements follow the cancellations of shows in Pittsburgh, Toronto and Dayton, Ohio. There are no plans to reschedule those dates.
Aerosmith's most recent show was in Montreal on Halloween night. The group is expected to return to the road on Saturday night (11/10) for its concert in Lexington, Ky., according to the band's official website.
Aerosmith is touring in support of its latest album, "Just Push Play" (Columbia), which hit stores in March and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
The Cult , whose "Beyond Good and Evil" (Atlantic) surfaced in June, occupies the tour's opening slot.
