Better Than Ezra adds dates

New Orleans rock band Better Than Ezra has extended its tour supporting its fourth album, "Closer," into late November.

The jaunt, which began in July, now runs through Nov. 20, when Better Than Ezra performs in Omaha, Neb. The itinerary includes a stop at its hometown's Voodoo Fest, with Tool, Missy Elliot and Bush. On this tour, Better Than Ezra is inviting fans to request songs for the shows they are attending. They can email requests to songrequest@betterthanezra.com.

"Closer" (Beyond/Ezra Dry Goods), the band's first album since being dropped by Elektra Records, was produced by Brad Wood (Liz Phair, Smashing Pumpkins) and Ethan Allen (Patty Griffin, Tricky). "Extra Ordinary," the reggae-tinged first single, went to radio in June. The album debuted at No. 110 on the Billboard 200 charts.
