Sevendust prepares for release of 'Animosity'
update: Rock band Sevendust has scheduled a tour around the Nov. 13 release of its third record, "Animosity."
The band continues its jaunt on Oct. 19, when it plays the Kansas City International Raceway with Alice Cooper and Soil. The itinerary is heavy on festivals before Sevendust joins Fuel's tour on Nov. 10.
The 13-track "Animosity" (TVT Records) was produced and mixed by Ben Grosse (Filter, Fuel). Aaron Lewis of Staind joins Sevendust vocalist Lajon Witherspoon on "Follow." The band's hit, "Angel's Son," has been rewritten with a string section for "Animosity" as a tribute to James Lynn Strait, the late Snot singer.
Sevendust recently wrapped up a tour with Drowning Pool and Saliva. In September, it released a DVD, "Retrospect."
