
Punk-pop quintet Good Charlotte has mapped out its first headlining tour in support of its self-titled debut for Epic Records.
The band--Joel (vocals, guitars,) Benji (vocals, guitars), Billy (guitar), Dusty (drums) and Paul (bass)--kicks off its jaunt Oct. 19 in upstate New York. The itinerary stretches through Nov. 13, but more dates are expected to be announced soon, according to the band's official website.
Good Charlotte, which spent the summer performing on the Warped tour, is bringing along the Movielife and Mest as openers. Emo band the Movielife recently signed to Drive-Thru Records, and will release the EP "The Movielife ... Has a Gambling Problem" on Nov. 13.
Mest, who appears on every date but Oct. 27, is releasing its punk-pop debut, "Destination Unknown," for Maverick Records on Nov. 13.
According to its website, Good Charlotte is hosting a contest giving fans the chance to create the video for its song "Waldorf Worldwide." The winner will receive backstage passes to a show near his or her hometown, and Benji and Joel will perform the song of his or her choice privately. The video will debut on Good Charlotte's website.
