Ozzfest veteran American Head Charge has added a handful of club dates that will lead up to its stint with the Pledge of Allegiance tour, which features co-headliners System of a Down and Slipknot.
American Head Charge--a seven-piece band that plays an industrial brand of metal--will resume touring on Tuesday night (9/18) in Grand Rapids, Mich. The band will perform a series of shows with a variety of artists--including Stereomud, Drowning Pool and Flaw--before joining the Pledge of Allegiance tour on Oct. 11 in St. Paul, Minn.
American Head Charge's new album, the Rick Rubin-produced "The War of Art" (American), debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart and entered the Billboard 200 album chart at No. 118. The band recently finished the video for its single, "All Wrapped Up," which was directed by Thomas Mignone (Mudvayne, Slipknot) and stars Michael Rooker of "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer." A 60-second teaser clip is available at the band's site.
The tour name Pledge of Allegiance, it's worth noting, was adopted by System of a Down and Slipknot well in advance of last week's tragic terrorist attacks.
