The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has determined that the pilot of the crashed plane that killed singer Aaliyah [ tickets ] and eight other passengers was not authorized to fly the plane, the New York Times reported. The FAA's investigation is ongoing.

Zomba Music Group ('NSync, Britney Spears) has settled its copyright-infringement lawsuit against MP3.com, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The settlement follows major label Vivendi Universal's Tuesday (8/28) announcement that it bought MP3.com.

Zomba has reportedly agreed to license its music to MP3.com.
