
update: The Black Crowes , who last month announced plans to embark on a two-month headlining tour of the U.S., have confirmed the remaining dates on their itinerary. The outing begins on Saturday night (8/25).
Added to the group’s previously announced routing are a handful of September dates and a lengthy list of October stops. The jaunt includes stops at several relatively intimate venues, including a performance a two-night engagement at San Francisco's Maritime Hall and a three-night stand at New York City’s Beacon Theatre. Tickets for the New York City shows are already sold out, according to the group’s publicist.
Los Angeles-based act Beachwood Sparks has been tapped to open for the Black Crowes on the upcoming tour.
Earlier this year, the Black Crowes co-headlined a tour of the U.S. with Oasis. The Crowes wrapped up a subsequent tour of Europe and Japan on July 31.
“Lions” (V2), the Black Crowes’ latest album, hit stores in early May and debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album features the group’s current hit, “Soul Singing,” which sits at No. 12 on Billboard’s latest Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
