Kenny Chesney announces post-McGraw tour dates

As his tour with Tim McGraw winds down, country singer Kenny Chesney has announced a slew of dates in support of his album "Greatest Hits."

Chesney's itinerary--largely a collection of state fairs--includes performances with country legends Alabama , as well as Lee Ann Womack .

Chesney’s latest single is "The Tin Man," a song that he co-wrote with David Lowe and Stacey Slate early in his career, and the one that landed him his publishing deal and subsequently his deal with Capricorn Records. "The Tin Man" hit No. 70 when it was originally released in 1993. When he was assembling "Greatest Hits" (BNA Nashville), Chesney re-recorded the song. The new version of the song debuted at No. 38 when it was re-released last week.

The platinum-selling "Greatest Hits" sits at No. 78 on the Billboard 200 album chart and at No. 6 on the magazine’s Top Country Albums chart.
