Fresh off the George Strait Country Music Festival, Brad Paisley is filling out his solo tour itinerary, which reaches into mid-December.
Paisley has added a slew of state-fair performances and several new shows in August and September in support of his sophomore effort, the appropriately titled "Part II" (BMG/Arista). Released on May 29, it sits at No. 31 on the Billboard 200, and at No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums charts dated June 16.
His first album, "Who Needs Pictures," brought to radio four hit singles: "Me Neither," "He Didn't Have to Be," "We Danced" and the title track. Paisley was nominated for Top Male Vocalist, Album of the Year and Song of the Year ("We Danced") at the Academy of Country Music Awards in May.
His 2000 stable of awards includes the CMA Horizon Award, ACM Top New Male Vocalist, TNN Country Weekly Music Awards' Discovery Award, Song and Video of the Year (for "He Didn't Have to Be"), R&R Readers' Poll's Best New Artist, and Gavin Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
