Weekend Ticketing: Madonna, matchbox twenty, 'NSync, more
Tickets for Madonna 's Drowned Tour went on sale in five markets last week, and all were snapped up within hours, promoters reported. In the coming days, ticket on-sales begin for Madonna's appearances in seven additional cities.
The first batch of tickets to hit box offices--on Saturday (5/19) at 10 a.m. Eastern Time--will be for Madonna's two nights at Florida's National Car Rental Center. On-sales begin for her shows at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
At 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Sunday (5/20), fans will get their shot at tickets to Madonna's appearances at the Staples Center in Los Angeles
At 9 a.m. Eastern Time on Monday (5/21), tickets go on sale for Madonna's appearances at Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, N.J., MCI Center in Washington, D.C., and New York's Madison Square Garden. At 10 a.m. Eastern Time, tickets for her appearances at Philips Arena in Atlanta hit the market.
Tickets for more than 18 shows on matchbox twenty's summer tour--featuring Train in the opening slot--will hit box offices in the coming days.

'NSync tickets continue to go on sale in new markets. At 10 a.m. Eastern Time on Saturday (5/19), tickets for upcoming shows in Louisville, Ky., Detroit, and Indianapolis will go on sale. And at 10 a.m. Central Time, tickets for the group's New Orleans performance will hit the market.
Prince is planning a hometown birthday celebration in St. Paul, Minn., for June 15 and 16. Tickets for both shows go on sale on Saturday (5/19) at 3 p.m. Central Time.
Tickets for three Backstreet Boys performances will go on sale on Saturday (5/19): Salt Lake City (9 a.m. Mountain Time), Bakersfield, Calif. (10 a.m. Pacific Time) and Minneapolis (noon Central Time).
On-sales begin at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Saturday (5/19) for Eric Clapton's upcoming Seattle performance. And at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Sunday (5/20), tickets go on sale for Clapton's Oakland, Calif., appearance. (Tickets to the Oakland show will be sold through Tickets.com outlets.)
