update: A full roster of dates--more than 40 in all--has surfaced for Tim McGraw ’s upcoming tour. The outing, which kicks off on June 20, will also feature Kenny Chesney and newly added opener Mark Collie.
Prior to embarking on his summer jaunt, McGraw has a one-off date planned in Mississippi for Saturday night (5/19).
McGraw’s upcoming road trip will support his latest album, “Set This Circus Down” (Curb), which was released late last month. The disc debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart, and will clock in at No. 6 on this week’s chart, according to industry sources.
The album has also spent the past three weeks in the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.
Chesney released his “Greatest Hits” (BNA) late last year. The most recent effort from Tennessee-native Collie is 1998’s “Even the Man in the Moon is Crying” (MCA).
This week, McGraw and Chesney are on trial in upstate New York for misdemeanor charges stemming from an incident in which the two were arrested in Buffalo last June after Chesney allegedly made off with a deputy’s horse without permission. McGraw allegedly assaulted the police officers who tried to remove Chesney from the animal.
