Weekend Ticketing: Prince, Tim McGraw, Janet, WOMAD, Reba, Aerosmith, Clapton, more

Prince will play two concerts in California this weekend, and tickets for both shows will go on sale on Friday (5/4). As was his strategy in 2000, the R&B star has been announcing his concert appearances shortly before they are scheduled to happen.

Tickets for Prince’s Friday night show at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles will go on sale at 10 a.m. that morning through Ticketmaster. (Ticketmaster is LiveDaily’s parent company.) Tickets for his Sunday (5/6) appearance at Sacramento Memorial Auditorium will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday through Tickets.com outlets.

According to Prince’s official website, the (former) Artist will appear on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday (5/3) and on Friday.

Tickets for two upcoming Tim McGraw performances will hit the market on Saturday (5/5). At 9 a.m. Mountain Time, tickets for McGraw’s July 3 appearance at Salt Lake City’s Delta Center will go on sale. At 9 a.m. Pacific Time, tickets will go on sale for McGraw’s July 1 show at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash.

This year's WOMAD USA festival, which will feature Peter Gabriel, Robert Plant, Steel Pulse, the Neville Brothers and dozens of other acts from around the world, which will take place July 27-29 at Marymoor Park near Seattle. The Reba McEntire -led Girls’ Night Out tour, which also features Martina McBride, Sara Evans and Jamie O'Neal, will tour arenas and amphitheaters this summer. On Friday (5/4) at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, tickets for the tour’s stop in the Detroit area will go on sale. On Saturday (5/5) at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, tickets for San Diego will hit the market, and at noon Mountain Time, tickets for the Phoenix show will go on sale.

Counting Crows will visit the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland Ore., on July 17. Tickets go on sale on Saturday (5/5) at 9 a.m. Pacific Time.

Tickets to nearly a dozen stops on Janet Jackson ’s upcoming tour will go on sale in the coming days. At 9 a.m. Eastern Time on Saturday (5/5), tickets for Jackson’s Buffalo, N.Y., show will hit the market. At 10 a.m., on-sales are planned for shows in Albany, N.Y.; Columbus, Ohio; and Hartford, Conn. At 10 a.m. Central Time, tickets for her Moline, Ill., appearance will go on sale.

On Saturday at 11 a.m., tickets for Jackson’s Philadelphia show will go on sale. Fans in Denver will get their shot at tickets beginning at noon Mountain Time, and tickets for Jackson’s Seattle show will go on sale at noon Pacific Time.

Canadian fans can purchase tickets beginning on Monday (5/7) through Ticketmaster Canada. Tickets for shows in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta will go on sale at 10 a.m. Mountain Time, and tickets for the tour’s Toronto stop will go on sale at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.

Tickets for five upcoming John Mellencamp shows will hit the market in the coming days. On Friday (5/4) at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, tickets for the tour’s stop in the Detroit area will hit the market, and at 10 a.m. Central Time, tickets for his St. Louis-area show will go on sale.

At 10 a.m. Eastern Time on Saturday (5/5), tickets for Mellencamp’s Philadelphia-area appearance will go on sale, and at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, on-sales begin for his San Diego show. At noon Central Time, tickets hit the market for a Kansas City-area show.

Tickets for Eric Clapton’s Aug. 17 and 18 shows in Los Angeles will hit the market at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Sunday (5/6).

Ticket on-sales for Aerosmith ’s August concert near Houston are scheduled to go on sale at noon Central Time on Saturday (5/5).
