More dates confirmed for Aerosmith's summer run
update: Aerosmith , which earlier this week announced its summer tour of North America, has confirmed several additional dates for the outing. The latest itinerary includes the tour’s first Canadian stop and its first August dates.
Tickets for many of the shows will hit the box office this weekend. A number of additional concert dates will be announced soon, and the band plans to visit 48 North American cities in all, according to tour organizers.
The Boston-based rock veterans are preparing to tour in support of their latest album, “Just Push Play” (Columbia), which was released in early March. The album debuted at No. 2 and spent several weeks in the Top 10 before dipping further down the album chart; it currently sits at No. 19.
“Jaded,” the first single from “Just Push Play,” is currently No. 3 on trade publication Radio & Records’ latest national-airplay Rock chart.
“Just Push Play” was certified platinum earlier this month by the Recording Industry Association of America, according to Aerosmith’s official website.
