According to Dow Jones Newswires, "A federal judge has thrown out a class-action shareholder lawsuit alleging that online music store CDNow Inc. and its officers defrauded investors early last year by hiding the company's dire financial condition while touting a merger they knew couldn't materialize."

Someone stole Frank Black and the Catholics' trailer while the band was staying in a hotel in Lester, Penn., on April 13, Sonicnet reported. The trailer reportedly contained $70,000 worth of gear, which the band has replaced. The band had to cancel weekend shows in Washington, D.C., and Pittsburgh, but will reportedly play the first of three Toronto shows on Monday (4/16).

CNN.com reported that Canon John Roberts, a clergyman at Liverpool, England's St. Peter's Church--where the Beatles' John Lennon and Paul McCartney first met--is receiving hate mail for his plans to sell the church's stage to "fund renovation work."
