Depeche Mode has lined up venues for its recently announced North American tour in support of its forthcoming album, “Exciter.” The album is due in stores next month, and the group’s world tour is set to kick off in the U.S. in mid-June.
On-sale dates for tickets to most of the North American stops have been set. Details appear in the itinerary below.
The group’s North American run is scheduled to wrap up in mid-August, with an extensive European tour to follow. Tickets for most of the European dates are on sale now.
“Exciter” (Mute/Reprise) is due in stores on May 15. The album’s first single, “Dream On,” recently hit radio stations and debuted at No. 32 on Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks chart last week; the song is up to No. 25 this week.
The video for “Dream On”--which was shot in the desert outside of Barstow, Calif., in February--debuted in Europe in late March, and is set to hit U.S. airwaves this month, according to the group’s official website. An excerpt of the video, as well as audio samples of all of the tracks from “Exciter,” can be found at the website.
