INXS and Midnight Oil have firmed up the itinerary for what’s been dubbed the Great Australian Bite Tour, an endeavor that will also feature Men at Work . The summer jaunt opens on May 28 in Atlanta, and will wrap up a month later.
According to INXS' official website, INXS and Midnight Oil will trade off on headlining duties.
The Great Australian Bite Tour is INXS's first U.S. tour since the death of lead singer Michael Hutchence; Australian singer Jon Stevens will handle the vocal duties.
On June 5, Rhino Records is releasing INXS's "Shine Like It Does (1979-1997)" a two-disc, 42-track greatest hits collection.
Midnight Oil last released an album in the United States in 1998, when "Redneck Wonderland" (Columbia) hit stores. Last year, its latest album, "The Real Thing," hit stores in its native Australia.
Men at Work toured amphitheaters last summer with Flock of Seagulls.
