Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Beck, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Filur (Denmark), Hammerfall (Sweden), Håkan Hellström (Sweden), JJ72 (Ireland), Mayhem (Norway), and Ski Oakenfull (U.K.) are the latest acts to be added to the bill for Denmark's 2001 Roskilde Festival. They join previously announced acts Guns N' Roses, Tool and Robbie Williams.
Tragedy struck last year at Roskilde, one of Europe's biggest music festivals, when nine concert-goers died during a crowd crush as Pearl Jam performed. Organizers claim they have focused on improving festival safety in the last year.
The festival is scheduled to run from June 28 through July 1.
Marilyn Manson , citing a "prior commitment," will not be on the bill for Ozzfest's June 22 stop at Denver's Mile High Stadium, the Denver Post reported. "Three sources involved with the tour told the Post that the major factor behind Manson canceling his Denver appearance was lingering concern over the Columbine High School tragedy," however.
A Brooklyn-based company is going to release Eminem dolls in July, the Associated Press reported.

Martina McBride and Sons of the Desert will perform at the second annual Country Music Marathon concert at Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville on April 28, producers announced. The concert "culminates a weekend of running and music featuring a combined 25,000 marathoners, spectators and volunteers with more than 40 live bands staged along each mile of the course."
Garth Brooks is scheduled to appear at a musical tribute to Grand Ole Opry member Johnny Russell on Thursday (3/22). Roy Clark, Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs and the Oak Ridge Boys also plan to participate. Russell is reportedly in a Nashville hospital due to complications from diabetes.
