U.K. Charts: Dido retains top album spot, Westlife nabs No. 1 single
LONDON--Dido 's "No Angel" stays at the top of the Official U.K. Album Chart for a sixth week in a row, while Eva Cassidy's "Songbird" jumps eight places to follow at No. 2. Coldplay's "Parachutes" falls one place to No. 3.
Meanwhile, David Gray's "White Ladder" climbs from No. 7 to No. 4, and Anastacia's "Not That Kind" falls from No. 5 to No. 4. "All That You Can’t Leave Behind," U2's latest album, falls to No. 6 from No. 3, while Eric Clapton's "Reptile" is the highest new entry of the week at No 7.
Craig David, Toploader and Eminem round out the Top 10 at Nos. 8, 9, and 10 respectively.
The Official U.K. Singles Chart sees a new No. 1 with Westlife ’s cover of Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl," which was recorded to benefit the charity Comic Relief. It replaces Shaggy's "It Wasn't Me," which falls to No. 2. Atomic Kitten's "Whole Again" follows at No. 3.
Meanwhile, Gorillaz's "Clint Eastwood" debuts at No. 4 and Wheatus' "Teenage Dirtbag" is up one place to No. 5. Nelly Furtado’s "I'm Like a Bird" falls one place to No. 6 and Samantha Mumba’s "Always Come Back to Your Love" holds onto the No. 7 position.
OutKast’s "Ms Jackson" falls from No. 3 to No. 8 and Ricky Martin and Christina Aguilera’s "Nobody Wants to Be Lonely" falls from No. 4 to No. 9. The top 10 is rounded out by the debut of "S--- on You," the debut single form Eminem's side project D-12.
