A recent email from Interscope Records encourages fans to vote for Limp Bizkit 's song "My Way" on MTV's "Total Request Live." But before the fans vote, they are given instructions by Interscope on how to disable their computers' "cookies," which let MTV know that that person has already voted. By repeatedly disabling the cookies, fans can vote as many times as they want. Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst is a vice president at Interscope.
Queen is working with British writer Ben Elton on a musical based on the band's music, CNN.com reported.
Charges against Whitney Houston for marijuana possession in Hawaii have been dropped after Houston "cleared a substance abuse assessment," MTV.com reported. Click here for background on that.
On Hole's website, Courtney Love has announced that she's formed Bastard, a band featuring guitarist Louise Post (Veruca Salt), bassist Gina Crosley (Rockit Girl) and former Hole drummer Patty Schemel.
According to a VH1 press release, "VH1 is rewarding those who feel guilty for sitting in front of the TV and watching music videos all day long. Production has begun on 50 episodes of the new VH1 series, 'Name That Video' ... a daily series of fast-paced games that test players' skills in identifying videos, their artists and lyrics ..."

Reuters reported that the Recording Industry Association of America and the National Endowment for the Arts have compiled a list of the Songs of the Century. The top song was "Over the Rainbow," from the movie "The Wizard of Oz."
