LONDON--Pop singer Dido has expanded her upcoming British tour into a full-length European tour following the continued No. 1 success of her debut album "No Angel."
The former member of trip-hop collective Faithless will play seven British shows during the first half of April before heading over to the Continent.
The European leg of Dido's tour will begin in Cologne, Germany, on April 21 and include shows in Spain, France and the Netherlands, among other countries, before finishing in Brussels, Belgium on Aug. 8.
Beginning her solo career in 1999, after taking a break from brother Rollo's band Faithless, she released her first LP "No Angel" in 2000.
Dido first hit it big in the U.S. after her song "Thank You" was included on the "Sliding Doors" soundtrack. She didn't become popular as a solo artist in Britain until a sample of "Thank You" was used on Eminem's single "Stan."
"No Angel" is currently at No. 1 on the U.K. album chart, a position it has held for four weeks in a row. Her latest single, "Here With Me," is currently at No. 7 on the U.K. singles chart, and is at No. 1 on the U.K. Airplay Chart.
Dido is also riding high in America, with "No Angel" at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 album chart, and with "Thank You" at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
