Grammy performers to include U2, 'NSync, Sheryl Crow, Eminem, Elton John

With the Feb. 21 telecast of the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony rapidly approaching, the list of performers is firming up. A planned performance by Elton John with Eminem has gained the most press, but Christina Aguilera, U2 , Madonna, ‘NSync and Macy Gray will also be among the night’s musical acts.

Other performers will include Destiny’s Child, Faith Hill, Nnenna Freelon, Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton, Take 6, Sheryl Crow , Shelby Lynne, Moby, Jill Scott, Blue Man Group, and Marc-André Hamelin.

Presenters will include Tony Bennett, Carson Daly, Gloria Estefan, Vince Gill, Joni Mitchell, Sisqo, Erykah Badu, Toni Braxton, Andy Garcia, Kevin James, Ray Romano, Aerosmith members Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, and Carlos Santana.

Comedian Jon Stewart, host of the Comedy Central cable network’s “The Daily Show,” will host the Grammy ceremony for the first time.

Garnering five nods apiece, rapper-producer Dr. Dre and Destiny's Child's Beyoncé Knowles lead the field of nominees for this year’s Grammy Awards.

Winners in each of the 100 Grammy categories will be revealed during the Grammy Awards telecast on Feb. 21, 2001. The three-hour show will take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles, and will be broadcast on CBS-TV at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific Time.
