Fuel has been tapped to open for Kid Rock on the Detroit rapper’s winter 2001 tour, according to a band press release. The outing is set to get underway on Jan. 17 in South Carolina.
The Fuel press release confirms that the group, along with tattooed-rockers Buckcherry, will join Rock on the tour’s previously announced January dates, which also include stops North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan and West Virginia.
No additional dates have been confirmed thus far, but Fuel’s press release indicates that its outing with Rock is scheduled to run until March 3, and that more dates will be announced soon.
Prior to setting out with Rock and Buckcherry, Fuel is scheduled to perform at three radio festivals this week, where they will share the stage with a number of other acts, including Green Day, Moby and Papa Roach.
Fuel is touring in support of “Something Like Human” (Epic), which was released in September and was certified gold in October by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales of over 500,000 copies. The album’s current single, “Hemorrhage (In My Hands),” has been the No. 1 song on Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks chart for the past 8 weeks, according to the band’s press release.
