Madonna, Aerosmith, Magic Johnson Change Partners In Management Waltz

Madonna will reportedly leave Q-Prime management according to published reports, just days after Hole announced they were relieving the company of management duties. Hole's departure, in turn, comes months after the Smashing Pumpkins parted ways with the firm.

Little is being said by the company or the artists regarding the defections. Queensryche is said to have exited Q-Primes roster in recent weeks as well. Madonna will reportedly continue to work with the company for the duration of the promotional campaign for her current release, Ray Of Light.

Aerosmith has also announced that they are parting ways with longtime employee and three-year manager Wendy Laister. The Boston rock veterans have recently enjoyed a revival of sorts, thanks to a dip into movie soundtrack ballad waters by way of Diane Warren's I Don't Want To Miss A Thing, which they recorded for the Armageddon soundtrack.

On the other side of the fence, former Laker superstar and failed talk show host Magic Johnson has started a record label and begun managing musical artists. Johnson represents Kelly Price and this week announced that he had signed rapper Mase.

While announcing his signing of Mase, Johnson's publicists noted that he had entered into a co-management deal with Boyz II Men. That notion was aggressively denied on Thursday (4/1) by the group, who issued a press release stating, ''Boyz II Men have not met with Magic Johnson, have had no discussions with Magic Johnson, have not signed any deals with Magic Johnson, nor is our management forming an alliance with Magic Johnson Management. Boyz II Men are comfortable with the management arrangement that we have in existence right now.''
