Briefly: Lennon's piano, McCartney's art, Napster, Tina, Neil

It turns out that it was George Michael who bought John Lennon's favorite piano for £1.45 million ($2.3 million) in a London auction on Tuesday (10/17). He outbid Oasis members Liam and Noel Gallagher, as well as pop singer Robbie Williams, for the Steinway Model Z on which Lennon composed his song "Imagine." The piano will reportedly be displayed at the Beatles' Story Museum in Liverpool, England.

On Thursday (10/19), Paul McCartney will take part in a Yahoo! webchat that includes a "cyber-tour" of McCartney's exhibit of paintings at London's Arnolfini Gallery.

According to Inside.com, programmers who have studied Napster's file-sharing technology say that the compamy could easily control illegal trading if it wanted to. This goes against Napster's claims that it only provides the service and can't control how people use it.
