Deftones , who recently announced plans to head out on a North American tour with Incubus and Taproot, have since added 14 dates to the tour’s itinerary, according to the group’s official website. The tour kicked off in Seattle last Friday (10/13), and continues on Wednesday night (10/18) in Reno, Nev.
Added to the tour’s October route are stops in the San Diego, Los Angeles and Phoenix regions. The November itinerary has been rounded out by dates in Columbus, Ohio; Milwaukee, Ottawa, Scranton, Penn., Hartford, Conn., Charlotte, N.C.; and Columbia, S.C. The first batch of December dates has also been added, and consists of stops in Orlando, Miami and Tampa, Fla., as well as a date in New Orleans.
Deftones are touring in support of their June release “White Pony” (Maverick), which was re-released earlier this month with new album-cover artwork and the extra track "Back to School (Mini Maggit)." In the wake of the re-release, the album has moved from No. 117 to No. 88 on the latest Billboard 200 album chart.
Last month, “White Pony” was gold-certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipping over 500,000 copies.
Incubus is touring in support of “Make Yourself,” released last October, and “When Incubus Attacks,” a recently released, limited edition EP from the group. “Make Yourself” was platinum-certified by the RIAA this month for shipping over one million copies.
Taproot is touring behind its debut disc “Gift.”
