Country crooner Trace Adkins will return to the road on Oct. 20 after taking a short break to rest his strained voice. According to his official website, Adkins had been working long hours in the studio, and his doctor recommended that he take time off from singing.
Adkins had been scheduled to perform at the Saddle Rack in San Jose, Calif., on Wednesday (10/18), but that show will be rescheduled for next April, according to the club.
Adkins last performed over the weekend, when returned to his hometown of Sarepta, La., for his 20-year high school reunion. While in town, he also performed at the town’s annual Lumberjack Festival and sang the national anthem to open the Sarepta High School football game, according to Capitol Nashville.
The singer has a fairly light touring schedule through the end of the year, but he will cover a lot of ground. By January, he will have played concerts in California, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, Missouri, Kansas, and Mississippi.
