Briefly: Whitney, Moby, Henley, Arista

Whitney Houston and her husband Bobby Brown have signed on to perform a Nov. 10 concert at the Aladdin Theatre for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas. The concert will include individual performances by each artist as well as several duets, according to a press release issued by the Aladdin Hotel and Casino. Tickets went on sale Saturday (10/14).

Moby has added another live date to his upcoming U.K. visit in November. He is to play at London's Brixton Academy on Nov. 19 following his sell-out show at London's Wembley Arena on Nov. 18.

A woman is suing Don Henley for hitting her in the head with a maraca at an Oct. 4 concert in North Little Rock, Ark., The Associated Press reported. Per the report, the woman was taking Henley's photo when the maraca made contact; she claims that he didn't want any flash photography.

Effects of being hit in the head with a maraca, according to the suit, include "fright, horror, disappointment, chagrin, worry, disgrace, embarrassment, indignity, ridicule, grief, shame, humiliation, anger and outrage."

Singer-songwriter Matthew Ryan will open for Steve Earle in November. He will follow that with supporting slots for Fastball and John Wesley Harding.
