Pearl Jam has unveiled plans for a brief spate of North American tour dates set to take place this fall as the band gets ready to support its forthcoming album, "Backspacer."
The group has rolled out a September and October itinerary that so far features a one-off performance in San Diego, two-night stands in Seattle and Philadelphia, and a four-night run in Los Angeles. Details are included below.
Members of Pearl Jam's fan club will have first crack at tickets. More information is posted at the band's website.
The tour's Sept. 21 kick-off on the band's Seattle home turf comes the day after the Sept. 20 release of "Backspacer," the group's ninth studio album. The group recently announced plans to self-release the set via a direct distribution deal with Target and other retailers.
On July 20, "The Fixer," the lead-off single from the forthcoming album, will hit radio and digital retailers. The song will be the second cut unveiled to the public; the band debuted a track titled "Got Some" during a June 1 appearance on the debut episode of "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien."
In addition to the just announced headlining dates, Pearl Jam's concert plans also include a handful of August performances and a previously announced Oct. 4 show at Austin, TX's Austin City Limits Festival.
A handful of August European dates are also scheduled; details about those shows are available at the group's site.
