Collective Soul reveal dates in support of 'Rabbit'

With only a handful of co-headlining dates with Gavin DeGraw remaining, alt-rockers Collective Soul have lined up a headlining run of their own for the remainder of the summer.

The Georgia-based outfit will continue its journey tomorrow (6/3) in Norfolk, VA, followed by a series of six shows with pop rocker Gavin DeGraw. Since last check, 22 performances have been added to Collective Soul's itinerary, most of them in August. The current schedule concludes with a Sept. 12 gig in Wendover, NV. Details are below.

The headlining run comes as the group prepares for the Aug. 25 release of "Rabbit," the band's eighth studio set and first since 2007's "Afterwords." The new album features 11 tracks and will mark the group's debut for the Loud & Proud/Roadrunner label.

Two singles from the new record--"Staring Down" and "Welcome All Again"--are currently available for download via iTunes.

The multi-platinum rockers have had several tracks make it to the big screen in recent months. "Hollywood," a cut from the band's 2007 release "Afterwords," was featured on the soundtrack to the tween blockbuster "Twilight," while season seven "American Idol" winner David Cook performed the rockers' 1995 hit "The World I Know" near the season's end. Collective Soul frontman Ed Roland subsequently collaborated with Cook on his eponymous debut, which surfaced last fall.
