Riding high from her recent MTV Movie Awards win for Best Song from a Movie, Miley Cyrus has announced an intensive fall outing--the first to not include her Disney alter ego Hannah Montana-- that will hit 43 cities nationwide.
The teen sensation will begin the run Sept. 14 in Portland, OR, stopping by arenas across the US into early December. The ambitious roadtrip includes two-night stands set for Nov. 7-8 in Newark, NJ, and Nov. 18-19 in Long Island, NY. The full itinerary is below.
Family will accompany Cyrus on the tour, as her older brother Trace Cyrus and his band Metro Station will open all shows.
"Breakout," Miley Cyrus' most recent release and her first without the co-billing of Hannah Montana, surfaced last summer and debuted at the top of The Billboard 200. Earlier this year, the pop superstar hit the big screen in "Hannah Montana: The Movie," adapted from the Disney teen sitcom of the same name.
Disney announced Monday (6/1) that the kid-focused channel has ordered a fourth season of the show, which also features Cyrus' real-life father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus does have more on the horizon, and not all of it in music and film. The songstress recently revealed plans to team up with designer Max Azria for a line of apparel that will be exclusive to Walmart. The line, labeled Miley Cyrus & Max Azria, will include tops, pants, graphic tees, shoes and accessories, according to a press release.
The performer, who Time magazine deemed one of 2008's 100 most influential people in the world, received an MTV Award Sunday (5/31) for her single "The Climb," which is featured in "Hannah Montana: The Movie."
