Tim McGraw, Faith Hill to follow tour with Swampstock

Tim McGraw and his spouse Faith Hill will be joined by Jessica Andrews , Billy Gilman and the Clark Family Experience for this year’s edition of Swampstock, which is set to take place on Oct. 22 in northeast Louisiana.

Swampstock, which has been hosted by McGraw in his hometown of Rayville, La., every year since 1994, consists of a celebrity softball game and a concert. Proceeds from the event benefit Rayville’s Dixie League Baseball, the Steve Colvin Memorial Scholarship Fund and other youth causes in the region.

This year, celebrity athletes Stan Humphries (formerly of the the NFL's San Diego Chargers) and Rafael Palmiero (of baseball’s Texas Rangers) are among those expected to participate in the softball game.

The concert and the softball game take place at the Tim McGraw Sports Complex, which was built with money raised by past Swampstock events. It typically attracts about 11,000 people to Rayville, which has a population of just 4,000.

Gates open at 11 a.m. for the softball game, and the concert will follow at about 3:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.

Meanwhile, McGraw and Hill’s Soul 2 Soul tour has entered its final weeks. A rundown of the remaining dates follows.
